The Charité is one of the oldest hospitals in Germany and among the largest of university clinics in Europe today. With a history spanning almost three centuries, the Charité has produced eight Nobel Prize winners and has a worldwide reputation for excellence in medicine and research.

We needed an automated process to manage the student applications to our Master Programme and OpenCampus has created for us a complete web application which has greatly simplified, streamlined and made the process efficient while maintaining simplicity and ease of use for different roles, from students till evaluators. Close to 1900 users are currently registered on the system and they follow all the steps from Application till Approval.

The process is complex comprising of multiple evaluation rounds, with multiple student evaluators. It was unique in the way that it had to handle references from external sources and also involved an innovative system of token based editing of content without needing to log in with an account. It also had automatic generation of different PDFs for users with different roles. They had also created a simple interface to create and easily customize forms so that non-IT staff could easily work on the platform.

To summarise, OpenCampus has created for us an automated Master Programme Application process which tackled multiple challenges like multi-evaluators and token based content editing without logins with which we’re very content and would strongly recommend anyone looking for a similar solution.
